Aval or Poha Laddu are festive sweet balls made with flattened rice and grated coconut.
Aval or Poha Laddu Description: Aval or Poha Laddus is prepared by using flattened rice, grated coconut, nuts and sugar. Dry roast everything and make laddus out of it. Poha is rich in iron, carbohydrates and low on gluten. It is easily digestible and good probiotic food. It controls blood sugar levels and low in calories. Anybody can have it guilt free. Ingredients: Aval (flattened rice) - 2 cups Grated coconut- 1 cup Chopped nuts (Almond, cashew) - 2 tbsp Sugar- 1/4 cup Water- 1/4 cup Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp Preparation: 1. In a pan, dry roast the aval on medium flame until it become crisp. 2. Transfer to a bowl and gently crush it by hands 3. In the same pan, add grated coconut and dry roast on a low flame until it turns golden and aromatic. 4. Add chopped nuts and roast for a minute. Keep it aside 5.
