Description:

Mango sheera or Mango kesari is an easy dessert made using ripened mango pulp, semolina and ghee. It’s always a hit our home . 

Mango sheera is perfect to serve in parties, get togethers and for special occasions like celebrations, festivals.

Ingredients:

Semolina- 1 cup

Sugar- 3/4 cup

Mango pulp - 1 cup

Ghee - 3 tbsp

Cardamom - 3 (powdered)

Chopped nuts - 1/4 cup

Water- 1 1/2 cup

Saffron- a pinch (optional)

Preparation:

1. Add Ghee to a heavy bottom pan, add semolina to it. On a low heat, dry roast till you get nice aroma. Do not brown the rava but it has to turn crunchy. Transfer this to a bowl and keep it aside.

2. Add ghee to the same pan, then add cashews and raisins , once they swell transfer it to a bowl.

3. Blend the mango and sugar in a blender to a fine puree and keep it ready .

4. In the same pan, add water and let it boil

5. Wen it boils, add semolina and keep stirring to avoid any lumps.

6. Cover it and cook till the water evaporates.

7. Wen it’s cooked, add mango puree and give a gud mix. Let it blend well and add 1 tsp of ghee .

8. Mix well and cover it . Keep the flame low for five more minutes.

9. Now add nuts to it. Serve warm and enjoy!!!
