Egg Malai Curry
Egg Malai curry is a classic recipe where boiled eggs is added to the rich and creamy gravy with some aromatic spices.
Ingredients:
Eggs -4 (boiled)
Milk - 1 cup
Onion - 2(chopped)
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Green chilli- 1
Cumin powder- 1 tsp
Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Coriander leaves-a handful (chopped)
Salt - 1 tsp
Preparation:
1. In a kadhai, add oil , add the onion-green chilli paste. Lower flame & cook for 2 mins
2. Now add the ginger-garlic paste & mix well
3. Keep cooking in low flame , stirring often, for around 15 mins till paste changes colour
4. Now switch off the flame & add the milk stirring continuously. Mix it well with the Masala
5.Put in the cumin powder, pepper powder, garam masala powder & salt. Mix well & cook for a few mins
6. Place the egg halves in the gravy, yolk side down to absorb the spices.
7. Cover & cook for few mins
8. After few mins turn the egg halves yolk side up.
9. Add the finely chopped coriander leaves, mix well
10. Cook covered for a few mins till oil separates
11. Serve, enjoy with rice or roti....
