Panner Butter Masala Recipe - a creamy and delicious North Indian dish.
Panner Butter Masala
Restaurant style paneer butter masala is prepared in a rich and creamy tomato cashew paste and garnish with fresh cream.
Ingredients:
Paneer- 200 gms
Butter- 2 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Jeera seeds- 1 tsp
Bay leaf- 1
Cinnamon- 1
Clove - 2
Garlic- 8 cloves
Ginger- 2 inch piece
Onion- 2 (cubed)
Tomato- 2 cups (sliced)
Cashew- 15 nos
Kashmiri red chilli- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Sugar-1 tsp
Kasuri methi- 1 tbsp
Fresh cream- 1/4 cup
Preparation:
1. Pour oil to a pan and add clove, cinnamon, bay leaf, onions, ginger and garlic. Saute until the onions turn transparent.
2. Add tomatoes, salt and cashews. Mix well and cook covered until the tomatoes turn mushy.
3. Now add red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Saute on a medium heat. Turn off and cool down.
4. Transfer to a blender and make a smooth paste. Add water if necessary and strain it , keep it aside.
5. In a pan, add butter and jeera seeds, wen it splutters add chilli powder amd stir well.
6. Now add strained puree and mix thoroughly. Add water and let it boil till leaves oil on sides.
7. Meanwhile chop the paneer, fry it and keep it ready.
8. Now add Kasuri methi ,sugar and paneer.
9. Garnish with fresh cream and serve hot!!
