 Beef Stir Fry / Beef Chukka




Description:

This is my favorite dish made with beef, totally Kerala style dry beef stir fry. Marinated beef is cooked in a pressure cooker and then fried in oil till it turns brown. Curry leaves gives nice aroma and flavour to the dish.

Ingredients:

Beef (boneless) - 1/2 kg

Onion - 2 (chopped)

Red chilli-5

Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Coriander powder- 1 tsp

Fennel seeds powder- 1 tsp

Garam masala powder- 1 tsp

Pepper powder- 2 tsp

Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp

Lemon juice- 1/2 lime 

Curry leaves- one handful 

Oil-2 tbsp 

Salt- 1 tsp 

Preparation:

1. Deep fry the onion and keep it ready fa marination 

2. Deep fry dry red chilli and crushed it using blender. Keep it aside.

3. Wash and drain the meat well. Marinate with ½ tsp. salt and the turmeric, corriander, fennel seeds, and garam masala powders .

4. Then add ginger garlic paste, lemon juice,fried onion, oil,grounded red chilli. Marinate for 30 mins.

5. Transfer the marinated meat into pressure cooker and add juice a half glass of water and close the lid.

6. Put on the lid and pressure cook on high heat till the first whistle. Then set the heat to low and cook for another 25 minutes.

7. Switch off the heat and allow the pressure to drop naturally. Then open the lid and check if the meat is cooked.

8. Now add pepper powder and a handful of curry leaves.keep in the flame for five minutes and allow it to dry.

9. Yu can add coconut oil in this stage . It gives gud flavour to the dish amd and it’s completely optional.

10. Once done, transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy!!!
