Mutton Liver Pepper Fry(Eeral fry) recipe made using fresh masala with step by step instructions

 MUTTON LIVER PEPPER FRY 




Mutton liver is considered to be a good source of Vitamin A, that is beneficial for eyes. 


Mutton liver satiates hunger as it is high in protein content thereby relieving the body of weight gain. 


Mutton liver also contains iron, folic acid, zinc, copper, Vitamin B12 and folate. 


It is very good for young children, pregnant ladies and for lactating young moms.


One point you have to keep in mind is, never overcook liver since it tends to become hard and rubbery.


Ingredients:

Mutton liver

Coconut oil- 2 tbsp 

Shallots - 1/2 cup

Garam masala- 1 tsp

Pepper powder- 2 tsp

Garlic paste- 1 tbsp 

Coconut oil - 2 tbsp 

Curry leaves 

Salt - 1 tsp

Water as required 



Preparation:

1. Chop the mutton liver into bite sized pieces and wash it with turmeric powder.

2. Then wash it with 2 tsp of vinegar , Now it’s ready to cook.

3. In a pressure cooker, add coconut oil, den add chopped shallots.

4. Sauté it till the shallots changed to golden colour.

5. Now add garlic paste and all the spice powder. 

6. When everything blends well , add mutton liver and salt.

7. Now add 1/4 cup of water and close the lid.

8. Pressure cook for 1 whistle.

9. When the pressure is released, keep it in flame till the gravy little dries. 

10. Garnish with curry leaves and pepper powder.

11. Transfer it to a bowl and serve hot!!


Tips

          While washing the liver, add 2tbsp of rice flour to avoid the liver smell.

           Don't over cook the liver, it will become rubbery.
